The rooms at Mértola Castelo Palace by Eden Lands are like a work of art, with unique artwork and pottery that adds a touch of personality. I love the antique furniture in each room, it gives a vintage and charming vibe. The individually decorated rooms in Mértola's old city are so cozy and inviting, it feels like stepping into a different era.

Personally, I wasn't a big fan of the country-style bathroom with dark marble vanities. But hey, that's just my taste!

Gem of a house. Friendly owner. Great breakfast. Cosy room. Free parking. Quaint village atmosphere. Cheap pizza and beer nearby.

The value for the money was great, considering the classy and stylish atmosphere of the hotel. The room was comfortable and the location at the quiet end of town provided great views. The staff, especially Host Carlos, was friendly and knowledgeable about the area.

The only slight improvement needed would be the menu for breakfast, as the coffee was cold by the time it reached the table.

What an adventure to stay in a medieval "palace" though with modern amenities! Lovely historic building located close to the castle. The lounge and outside space were a nice touch. The coffee machine and excellent Wi-Fi were much appreciated. The shower was top-notch. The owner, Carlos, was incredibly helpful and friendly, allowing us to store our bikes in a nearby room. His local knowledge and welcoming nature made our stay even more enjoyable. We felt right at home in this beautiful house.

    Do recommend this hotel.

The rooms at Mértola Castelo Palace are like a museum of art and history, with unique artworks and antique furniture that give each room a special charm. As a light sleeper, I found the individually decorated rooms in Mértola's old city to be cozy and inviting.

Personally, I found the antique furniture to be a bit too rustic for my taste. However, I understand that others may appreciate the vintage charm it brings to the rooms.

The hotel is conveniently located close to the castle and offers a quiet atmosphere for a good night's sleep. Guests have praised the cleanliness of the rooms and the interesting décor. The staff and owner are helpful and accommodating. Plus, the hotel offers a unique help yourself breakfast concept and the ability to park nearby, which is a rare find in this area.

The streets surrounding the hotel can be challenging to navigate, especially with luggage, as they are narrow and not suitable for vehicles.

Friendly host, interesting history, gem of a house. Tight parking, chilly room in winter. Cheap cafe nearby. Excellent location, close to castle. Lounge and outdoor space available, coffee machine. Great wifi, good shower. Helpful owner, bikes storage available. Classy, stylish small hotel. Quiet end of town, great views. Sun terrace, charming sitting room. Live-in feel, super communicator cat. Beautiful location, nicely furnished and clean room. Large clean bathroom, working air conditioning. Welcoming owner. Quiet at night.

The bedroom was clean and had interesting décor, showing a lot of thought has been put into it. The owner and staff were very friendly and helpful, creating a welcoming atmosphere. the location was convenient, with the ability to park nearby and easy access to key attractions.

We had some issues with the amenities during our stay. The air conditioning was broken, making the room uncomfortably hot.

Carlos, our host, was extremely knowledgeable and gave us great sightseeing advice. He made us feel welcome and at home, offering a different room which was more suitable. The beautiful house had a charming old-world feel with lovely details and touches. The communal sitting area, balcony, and courtyard were perfect for relaxing with a drink. The location was ideal, within walking distance of everything in the old town.

We felt very at home and nothing was too much trouble for Carlos.

We rented bikes from the guest house, and it was a blast riding through the narrow streets and discovering hidden gems around every corner. The kids loved the freedom of biking and we had a great time together as a family exploring the town's museums, archaeological sites, and the impressive castle. It was a unique and memorable experience that we'll cherish forever.

My wife says that the bed was a little hard for her liking. It would have been great to have a more comfortable mattress, especially after a long day of biking and exploring.
